What does a Djaara tour guide do?

Our Djaara guides host our DUMAWUL Tours cultural immersion experiences, groups can be up to 25 people.

How to become a Djaara tour guide?

Our Djaara guides must first undertake our tour guide pathway program, a flexible 7-step program led by Djaara leaders, including:

– observation
– on-the-job training
– tour participation
– public speaking training and story-telling

Training is a voluntary process, however expenses such as travel and accommodation is covered for graduation events.

Djaara Cultural Competency Program (DCCP) Employment

What is a DCCP facilitator?

A DCCP facilitator delivers training to corporate, business and community groups, within set learning modules.

Do I need to be a DJAARA member to be eligible to be DCCP facilitator?

What information is included in the DCCP set learning modules?

Education includes DJAARA rights, responsibilities, policies and history including impacts of colonisation on Djaara.

How is the training delivered?

Training is undertaken within both a classroom format and on Country.

How do I become a DCCP facilitator?
