DUMAWUL are offering a unique opportunity to build teacher capability and confidence including Djaara perspectives across the Victorian Curriculum F-6. This program will include:
• Djaara cultural competency program
• Place-based learning examples, including a short tour of a local Djaara landmark in the Bendigo CBD
• A hands-on workshop building a learning program using Djaara resources, based on the Djaara seasonal calendar and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cross-curriculum priorities
• Building connections to Djaara and other local schools and teachers
• An ongoing relationship with DUMAWUL
You will leave the day having a deeper understanding of Djaara culture, knowledge, and feeling more confident and able to include these in your teaching and learning programs.
