BurWhela’s inspiration behind Dhelkaya Gunga, Is to show off some of the beautiful plant life traditionally harvested from ‘Djandak‘ ‘country’. Native plants that were and are still used and treasured by Djaara people as food and craft plants, like the Chocolate Lilly; the Wararak ‘Silver Wattle’; Witji, ‘spiny-headed mat-rush‘; ’Larni Yirrip’ crimson flowers of the iron bark tree and of course the Murnong, ‘ Yam Daisy’ and many more.
